Crap from Facebook for October 16th, 2026

A lot of capitalism's most vehement defenders don't even seem to understand what their beloved ideology means.

It's not a synonym for "trade" or "doing business" or "selling stuff" or "making a living" because all of these things existed long before capitalism did.

Capitalism is a specific form of economic organization based on paying workers less than the value of their labour, in order to extract the difference in unearned private profit.

You simply can't have capitalism without exploitation, because exploitative profit-extraction is essentially what it's all about.

I've heard of putting the cart before the horse, but this is like trying to load the entire herd of horses onto the cart. You can't expect to be taken seriously by anyone who hasn't already drunk the Koolaid if you insist on smuggling in the labor theory of value into your proposed definition of capitalism.

And exceptions aside, the most "vehement defenders" of capitalism don't consider it a "beloved ideology." They're not defending it because they're so enamored with markets. Some people are, but most of us aren't in it for the love of the game, but rather for our spite at how blisteringly stupid you idiotic morons are. Commie mouthbreathers made me more pro-capitalist than anything capitalists ever accomplished.

Whenever anyone trades, buys, or sells anything, whenever any of those business transactions take place that you've arbitrarily declared not to actually be capitalism, the people involve necessarily value what they're getting out of the exchange more than they value the raw labor used to produce that thing. Otherwise they wouldn't go through with it! This is not an advanced concept. It is so basic that any human capable of literacy and stringing those sentences together in the manner you have is easily capable of grasping it. You had to learn how to be this dumb. Congratulations.
